2nd Visit To My OB

So I'm currently 10-11 weeks along. My doctor said that I gained only 1pound instead of the normal 2-4lbs per month. Now that's..weird? Because I am kind of a "big person" and yes, I do eat a lot. But I guess this may be due to my daily afternoon walks with mom because I thought this would be a big help to my health during pregnancy. And also, I already resigned from work and now I don't eat my midnight snacks like I used to when I was working night shifts.

This is not a big issue though, I can gain weight easily, ako pa!! haha It's just so ironic for the doctor to prescribe multivitamins for me to increase my appetite. Well, no need doctor!! haha (Still, yes, I'm going to take those multivitamins as ordered.)

Another small issue that I have is a low-lying placenta. The doctor said to watch out for any vaginal bleeding. That's scary. I hope I won't have any kind of bleeding. *sigh* I thought being pregnant is so easy and safe. Now I realize that it's so worrisome. ANYTHING can happen. I've researched about low-lying placenta during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is kind of normal, my doctor even said that 90% chance it will move upwards along with the expanding uterus. Ok, 90% I'm safe. But 10% is still 10%. If the placenta stays low-lying until the time of labor, I may experience massive hemorrhage or may have to go through C-section. Augh, I need prayers!! Lots of them.

As for now, all I can really do is to raise my feet up high and place pillows under my hips so the placenta will move upwards, where it should be!! (P.S.: will have to do UTZ at 33-34 weeks for placental localization.)

Other than that, everything is fine. I showed my cbc results to my OB and I'm so glad she doesn't have comments on the slightly high wbc, I thought I'm going to take antibiotics (again). Phew!

I had also expected to hear my baby's heartbeat again (the first time was last Feb 13 during my 2nd ultrasound), this time hoping the doc can use the Doppler but sadly, doc said it can't be heard yet, only on my next visit (on my 3rd month of pregnancy). Ok, doc. No problemo.

The secretary had also invited me for a "Guinness Book of World Record attempt on Largest Prenatal Class" on March 10. I will definitely be there. Baby and me will be on Guinness Book of World Record (hopefully!!haha)
